Shipping policy
1. Delivery Methods
Finland:
Alvedag delivers all orders within Finland via Matkahuolto. Orders are delivered to the pickup point or parcel locker selected by the customer. All products are shipped directly from Alvedag’s warehouse.
Other Europe:
Orders within Europe are delivered via Alvedag’s selected international courier service, which is FedEx. Deliveries may be made either to pickup points or as home deliveries in accordance with the delivery practices of the destination country.
2. Delivery Time
Finland:
The estimated delivery time is 1–2 business days from order processing.
Alvedag generally processes orders within 1 business day of receiving the order. During peak periods, processing times may be longer.
Other Europe:
Delivery times vary depending on the destination country. The estimated delivery time is shown at checkout on a country-specific basis. Delivery times are estimates and not binding.
3. Delivery Costs
Finland:
We offer free delivery throughout Finland.
Other Europe:
Any applicable delivery costs for other European countries are shown at checkout based on the delivery address and destination country.
Alvedag reserves the right to change delivery fees, but such changes will not affect orders already placed.
4. Shipment Tracking
Finland:
The customer receives a tracking code by email or SMS, which can be used to track the shipment in Matkahuolto’s system.
Other Europe:
The customer receives a tracking code by email, which can be used to track the shipment in FedEx’s tracking system.
5. Delivery Area
Alvedag delivers products within Finland and throughout Europe.
Domestic Finnish orders are delivered via Matkahuolto.
European orders are delivered via Alvedag’s selected international courier service, which is FedEx.
Any applicable delivery costs and delivery times for other European countries are shown at checkout on a country-specific basis.
6. Uncollected Shipments
If the customer does not collect the shipment within the time limit set by the carrier, the shipment will be returned to Alvedag. Failure to collect a shipment does not constitute a return.
An uncollected shipment will incur a €20 handling fee, which covers delivery, return shipping, logistics, and processing costs. The charge will be made using the customer’s selected payment method.
7. Defective or Transport-Damaged Shipments
The customer must inspect the shipment immediately upon receipt.
If the package or product has been damaged in transit, the customer must contact Alvedag’s customer service immediately to resolve the matter.
Alvedag is responsible for transport damages in accordance with consumer protection legislation.
8. Delivery Delays
Alvedag is not responsible for delivery delays caused by force majeure or other circumstances beyond Alvedag’s control, including the operations of the carrier, customs procedures, local regulations, or incorrect customer information.
If delivery is significantly delayed, the customer has the right to cancel the order and receive a full refund.
